BOILED CHOCOLATE CAKE RECIPE

BOILED CHOCOLATE CAKE RECIPE

Mix the following in a bowl and set aside:

2 cups self rising flour
2 cups sugar

Mix the following in a sauce pan:

1 stick margarine
½ cup buttermilk
1 cup water
½ cup shortening
4 Tablespoons Cocoa

Heat to rolling boil, then add dry ingredients.
Beat with spoon till well mixed.
The add the following:

2 eggs, well beaten
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 tsp. Soda
1 tsp. Cinnamon
¼ tsp. Salt

Mix well, the pour into greased 9”x13” pan.
Bake at 400° for 20 min.

Chocolate Icing

Place following in a sauce pan:

1 stick margarine
2 Tbs. Canned milk
4 Tbs. cocoa

Heat to rolling boil, remove from heat and add:

1 box powdered sugar
1 cup pecans
1 tsp. Vanilla

Ice cake while hot and still in pan.
