OLD FASHIONED SKILLET FRIED SQUASH - ZUCCHINI

There are many combinations you can use for breading your squash.
Today, I used plain flour, salt, seasoned pepper and butter flavored
crisco for cooking.
You may also dip your squash in sweet milk, buttermilk or a beaten egg.

Wash and slice summer squash.
=)
-I toss the ends and a few top slices into our compost pile.

Place squash slices into a bowl, pour in a little milk.
Let it sit for a few minutes.
Next dip the slices in your flour {breading) lightly shake off excess.
Place the slices into a pre-heated iron skillet with melted shortening.
I use butter flavored crisco because I like the taste.
I only used salt and some seasoned pepper.
Simmer until done, turning at least once.

YYYUUUUUMMMMM
